'I've always wanted to tell you…'This simple and ordinary phrase has captured my attention lately. Upon hearing the sentence, I wonder if there were reasons that prevented it to be told on the first instance; if the emotions that congregated through the waiting ever becomes unbearable; if the news comes too late, or just on time for a resolution.
Written for the Yarra Trio Composition Award 2008, this work aims to explore these heart-wrenching moments and the dilemmas we face with ourselves in finding the right time to tell.
