Work

An Easter relection : a setting of selected excerpts from Old & New Testaments for choir, soloists, congregation & keyboard

by Malcolm John (2001)

Work Overview

The text links episodes from the Bible, which lead to the crucifixion, three soloists (B.T.S) or (B.S.S.) need to be able to project confidently. The technical level of the choral writing requires basic reading ability. The thoughtful and reflective involvement of the congregation in 4 varied but traditional hymns (in the score) is essential.
