Work Overview

The Second Movement is a free piano arrangement of an earlier short piece for unaccompanied violin Canzonetta di Zebegény (1960). It is dedicated to Zsuzsa Debreczeni (*1945) and her grandmother in memory of the early 1960s. Ms Debreczeni has always been particularly fond of the slow movements of sonatas and symphonies - hence the title. Consequently, The Second Movement is a freestanding composition.
