Work Overview
This piece sets a slightly shortened version of Gwen Harwood's poem 'Mother who gave me life' in counterpoint with the traditional Marian hymn Salve regina. The beautiful sound of the Federation handbells creates a lovely haze as the choir processes out in the last moments of the piece.
