Year: 1996
Instrumentation: 2-part children's choir, 2 flutes (2nd doubling piccolo), oboe, 2 clarinets, bassoon, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, trombone, tuba, percussion (3 players), drum kit, guitar, piano, strings (double bass can be replaced by bass guitar).
Duration: 17 min.
Contents note: 1. The teacher took my tennis ball -- 2. Round sky -- 3. Mothers come flying -- 4. Rainforest -- 5. I didn't do my homework -- 6. Junk -- 7. Beyond the breakers -- 8. Skateboard.
Commission note: Commissioned by the Performing Arts Unit of the NSW Department of School Education in Sydney. It was the centerpiece of the 1996 Schools' Choral Concerts at the Sydney Opera House
