Work Overview

This work sets Ps 137, vss 1-8, in Hebrew. It incorporates parts of the chorale melody, 'An Wasserflussen Babylon,' which sets the same psalm, and Schumann's piano piece, 'Von Fremden Landern und Menschen' (of foreign lands and peoples).
