This work is inspired by the intelligent and unique worlds of my daughters. It was written for oboist Ben Opie and Arcko Symphonic Ensemble after hearing them perform together. The score employs both graphic and standard notation and involves improvisatory interpretation.
Instrumentation: Oboe, solo strings: 4 violins, 2 violas, cello, double bass.
Duration: 15 min.
Difficulty: Advanced — Extreme techniques in Oboe Solo, extremely demanding physically. Partially graphic score
Dedication note: Dedicated to Benjamin Opie
Influenced by Brendan Colbert.
