Work Overview
Alice in Wonderland was met with an overwhelmingly warm reception at its premiere. The music is accessible and melodic, close to musical theatre style. There are recitative-like sections. The chorus appears only twice: once for the Dance of the Chess-pieces, and for the entire final scene.
