Work Overview
Rock Song is a tongue-in-cheek choral work with a text consisting of geomorphological terms for various types of rock and a musical arrangement based on the overlaying repetition (sedimentation) of stylistic thematic ideas.
It was written for my son's 21st birthday - he had suggested, rather facetiously, that I write him a rock song. I don't think he was expecting something quite like this!
