Work Overview

I became fascinated with the possibilities of the octatonic scale and its lack of a raised 7th. Jazz musicians use it as a improvisatory tool and as a compositional tool, it leads into shifting tonal centres and the juxtaposition of the major and minor third in the same chord. This mode is the unifying factor in The Whole Suite.
