Work Overview
This piece celebrates the birth of the composer's first grandchild. It features the plaintive calls of the Dusky Robin - a bird that occurs only in Tasmania. The other electronic sounds are also all derived from these calls, and then arranged in a scale that uses 30 tones in the octave (compared to the usual 12).
