The Stubborn Heart consists of 6 songs, settings of 6 poems of Australian poet, Judith Wright, broadly tracing her journey through life, from a curious, cheeky and somewhat rebellious teenager, through motherhood, her relationship with the environment and, finally, acceptance of old age.
