Work Overview
I wrote my first work for the guitar in 1996 for my friend and composer collegue, Simon Barber. Over the past 15 years I have written numerous other works for the guitar with Simon in mind - most significantly my sonata of 2003. It was Simon's editing and notation of this sonata in 2011 that encouraged me to create this new work using the sonata as the starting point musically, as well as incorporating it as the final movement.
