A result of the interaction between several Latin American musical traditions and the Western concerto tradition.

Instrumentation: 2 flutes (1st doubling piccolo), 2 oboes, 2 clarients (1st doubling bass clarinet), 2 bassoons, 4 horns, 2 trumpets in B flat, 2 trombones, bass trombone, tuba, timpani, percussion (3 players), solo piano, strings.
