This piece uses found texts about high-school life & young people's observations & aspirations, interspersed with poetry by the composer. The music is shaped by the structure of a school day, interrupted by pre-recorded sounds of the school bells & sirens. Some sections are big-band-influenced, others more classical.

Instrumentation: Voices in 3 parts, 3 soloists, chamber group: 3 light melody instruments, guitar, percussion (claves, suspended cymbal, tambourine); Roland Juno-60 synthesizer; big-band: 2 heavy mid-range winds, 2 high brass, 2 low brass, drum kit, electric bass guitar; stereo tape recorder and copy of tape track; amplification.
