Work Overview
This piece is scored for string quartet, mixed voices, percussion and piano and it explores the notion of humility and self-discovery. The text is taken from Iranian 20th century writer Khalil Gibran's The Prophet, and recounts the protagonist's first ocean voyage. It would suit a tertiary/college or professional-level choir.
