Work Overview

Inspired by the birth of my son Miles and written for the Dutch virtuoso and friend Harry Sparnaay, it was written while I was Composer In Residence with the Melbourne Symphony.

Instrumentation: Bass clarinet, piccolo, flute, oboe, cor anglais, 2 clarinets, contrabassoon, 4 horns, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, tuba, piano/celeste, 5 percussionists.
