Work Overview

The work was commissioned to provide a prelude and postlude to the concert. While it was designed specifically to merge seamlessly into an A minor piano work, and seamlessly out of an E-flat major Schubert lied, it can stand alone as a prelude and postlude/prologue and epoilogue.
