Work Overview
This unaccompanied melody was originally composed for tenor saxophone as a solo melody to launch and inspire a free improvisation. It explores the division of octaves into four equal parts and is played rubato. On Jenny Game's 2004 CD Jacinta's Song, Steve Magnusson (guiter), Poul Grage (kit) and Ian Wilmot (double bass) join Jenny's tenor saxophone with exuberant energy and collective improvisation.
