Four Etudes for Piano / Kate Reid.

Library shelf no. 786.2/REI 2 [Available for loan]

Work Overview

The four etudes test the performer's agility and pianistic dexterity: for exampl e, cross rhythms, chromatic scalic passages, chord clusters, rapid passages in 4ths, the crossing-over of hands at high speed and sustained slow, legato passages. My aim is to give the performer an opportunity to show off her skill by presenting her with challenging and technically demanding material while she remains cool, calm and collected at the piano! Most of all I want the performer to have fun and enjoy the experience.
