Acclivous Quartet inhabits a dual identity as two collaborative ensembles featuring 8 musicians creating composition for improvisation. On one side, the quartet identifies as a contemporary jazz outfit "Whenua" (earth), and on the other side, a hybrid of western art music and the M-Base collective "RA" (sun). Thursday 20th July, Acclivous Quartet "Whenua" will perform at the Brunswick green featuring Jonathan Dimond - 6 string electric and 4 string fretless basses, Aaron McCoullough - drums, Dan Mamrot - guitar, and Ben Carr - Tenor Sax
