Event Details
This evening celebrates the return of Brett Dean, ANAM's 2014 Resident Composer.
Intimate Decisions for solo viola, is a private work, eliciting the feeling of writing a personal letter or having an intense discussion with a close friend.
Australian cellist Julian Smiles and the ANAM cellists explore the depth and richness of their instruments in Brett Dean’s Twelve Angry Men for twelve cellos, inspired by Sidney Lumet’s film of the same name.
Witold Lutoslawski is considered one of the great orchestral composers of the latter half of the twentieth century. His Symphony No. 3, conducted by Brett Dean, is the most ambitious, and possibly the most successful, example of Lutoslawski's individual style.
