Supporting Emerging Composers in Australia is approached by many individuals and organisations, from sole-trader musicians through to the large Symphony Orchestras, and peak funding bodies such as the Australia Council - but what do Emerging Composers actually need? What do they benefit from the most? What is the industry's current capacity to support them, and what are the ideas for initiatives that will support them in the future?

This forum, lead by John Davis (CEO of Australian Music Centre), delves into areas useful for composers and composer-supporters alike. If you're interested in discovering what it's like to walk in the shoes of Australia's emerging composers, and find out the sorts of opportunities currently on offer and those that will be, this is a chance to get into direct contact with those who are at the forefront of compositional support and find out their strategies to develop this niche segment.
