Dr Vanessa Tomlinson and composer Erik Griswold have spent considerable time studying traditional Sichuan music and finding ways of extrapolating, interpreting and recontextualisng their knowledge.
Their illuminating demonstration and workshop performance on traditional and contemporary aspects of Sichuan operatic percussion is sure to astound and delight.
