MCO is joined by Australia’s most talented young musicians from the Australian National Academy of Music for an exploration of double ensembles in modern music. The program features two great twentieth-century works for double orchestra, Frank Martin’s Polyptyque and Michael Tippett’s Concerto, and two new works for double ensemble commissioned for this concert, by Victorian composers Gordon Kerry and Peter de Jager.
