The Metropolitan Orchestra’s next program is full of inspiration – Mendelssohn inspired by Shakespeare, Kats-Chernin inspired by Mozart and Beethoven inspiring the world. Following Mendelssohn’s evocative concert overture, Kats-Chernin’s Ornamental Air for Basset Clarinet performed by TMO’s Andrew Doyle exhibits the exceptional range of the instrument in this virtuosic, lyrical piece. Beethoven’s magnificent Symphony No. 7 will complete the programme.
