The Australian String Quartet bring their much loved ‘Quartet and Country’ series to a deeply satisfying conclusion with this concert featuring star of the stage and screen, Ursula Yovich. Ursula, like Djakapurra, collaborated closely with Bangarra composer David Page, and here shares her heartfelt tribute to him. Her offering is bookended by two vastly different works – the thrillingly active Aheym (meaning ‘homeward’ in Yiddish) from Bryce Dessner, and Beethoven’s sunny D major quartet Op. 18 No.3.
