Event Details
Rob Hao breathes new life into the music of Franz Schubert by offering contemporary interpretations of his works. Curated by Hao, the performance features two unfinished sonatas presented alongside two modern completions of each respective work. Whether you’re a seasoned listener of new music or a lover of Schubert’s entire catalogue, this curation has something for everyone. In addition to the completions, the program includes Elena Kats-Chernin’s The Schubert Blues, which was composed as a response to Schubert’s Death and the Maiden quartet.
Featured non-Australian music: Franz Schubert - Piano Sonata in F-sharp minor, D571; Franz Schubert - Piano Sonata No.15 in C D840; Michael Finnissy - Vervollständigung von Schuberts D840
