Hosted once again by our favourite bowlo in Petersham, Sizzle will be a casual and cosy affair - and this year it is even FREE! 2014's Sizzle will be a relaxed and friendly mix-up of the avant garde, classical, jazz and performance art. Ensemble Offspring musicians shed their formal concert attire and invite their diversely talented friends to join them in an afternoon full of music making with a difference. Following "Jack Shit's" outdoor set on the decks, Ensemble Offspring will take over the inner sanctum of the club.
Highlights include Hatched Academy composer and marvellous jazz saxophonist, Jeremy Rose and his 'Pike/Rose/Harrison' Trio, a special showing of Eleanor Knox's humorous restaging of 80's game show gestures as seen through the hands of EO percussionists Bree and Claire, Jason Noble going wild on his bass clarinet in 'God Bless this Child' and the artists all joining forces for an EO premiere of John Zorn's classic game piece, 'Cobra'. Bring your family, friends and flatmates and roll up your sleeves for a sizzling smorgasbord of sensory seduction, served up with tasty pizza and cheap drinks at Petersham bowlo.
