The Australian Voices: QSO Current

  • Date: Saturday, 16 May 2015, 2:30 and 3:30pm
  • Venue: State Library of Queensland — Stanley Street, South Brisbane, QLD

Event Details

QSOCurrent includes free events in the South Bank Parklands and the State Library of Queensland. The Australian Voices present two micro programs of Australian works. You will probably hear the voice of a recent Prime Minister, an off-the-wall radio broadcast (in the shape of a choral piece) and words that – ...well – "change into other words".

2.30pm @ State Library of QLD, Knowledge Walk

F.S. Kelly: Elegy "In Memoriam Rupert Brooke"
Nigel Butterley: Spring’s Ending
Trad. Scottish (arr. Hamilton): Wild Mountain Thyme
Robert Davidson: Not Now, Not Ever!

3.30pm @ State Library of QLD, Queensland Terrace

Isabella Gerometta: Words That Change Into Other Words
Gordon Hamilton: Furuike Ya
Nigel Butterley: Spring’s Ending
Jacob Ballard: Broadcast
