THE EXPERIMENT This research performance at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music will be showcasing new works by Master of Music (Composition) student Peter Urquhart. The concert promises to be an eclectic mix of genres exploring Order into Chaos from an aleatoric perspective.
‘New Collaborative Partnerships between Composer, Poet and Choreographer’
Urquhart teams up with specialists in the realms of Poetry and Choreography Alison Marshall-Poet, Charles Freyberg-Poet, Marissa Yeo-Choreographer, Winsome Barker- Choreographer, Campbell-Jacob Slattery-Choreographer.
Together, this group has discussed and formulated new works and methodologies of chance procedures ranging from Electro Acoustic Chance Music and Traditional Aleatoric Song Cycles. Influenced by the American Post Modernists, Urquhart draws from confronting and also nostalgic subject matter aimed at creating a reflective embrace between Audience and Performer.
This concert is free and for over 18s only and contains shock and violent video footage. The concert may contain nudity and strobe lighting.
