Violinist/composer Hollis Taylor is the rare musician with an enduring devotion to and passion for a single species of songbird. Although she completed her PhD. in the vocalisations of the Australian pied butcherbird several years ago, she continues to spend hundreds of hours each year recording their songs, particularly in Alice Springs and Far North Queensland.
