Six world premieres at Waking the Giants Volcanic Festival, Derrinallum.
Performers: Johanna Selleck, flute and electronics, Peter Hagen harpsichord, Sonus Wind Quintet (Suzanne Moodie flute, Kathryn Saunders oboe, Vicki Hallett clarinet, Emilie Wendt horn, Barney Ellis bassoon) Tarella String Quartet (Marianne Rothschild and Rosalind Burns violins, Cora Teeuwen viola,Lore Burns cello)
Holly Caldwell: Red Rock String Quartet, world premiere
Gene Holland: Mt Leura and Mt Elephant, the might, the mystique, the majesty, for String Quartet, Wind Quintet and Harpsichord, world premiere
Johanna Selleck: Chrysalis for flute and electronics, world premiere
Dindy Vaughan: Lake Colac and Lake Elingamite, 2 wind quintets, world premiere
Stefan Hakenberg: Magma Chambers, for String Quartet, Wind Quintet and Harpsichord, world premiere
During interval, performance by the Live Well Project, local Tone Deaf Choir, generating their own work, leader Karen Robertson.
