Product details
Enjoy the brand-new album from Visions Of Nar, a project conceived by pianist Zela Margossian and saxophone and bass clarinet player Jeremy Rose.
Bridging musical cultures has been at the heart of this new
project from pianist Zela Margossian and saxophonist and reeds
master Jeremy Rose. With Visions Of Nar, the pair have sought to
represent some of the finest, modern voices on the Australian
jazz scene. A key inspiration for the band has been music from
Armenia - where Zela hails from - and the naming of this project
too is a reference to Nar, an ancient Armenian goddess of water,
rain and sea.
Space to play or pause, M to mute, left and right arrows to seek,
up and down arrows for volume.
'Dance Of Nar' Visions Of Nar(ABC Jazz)
The ensemble features the ancient sounds of Bobby Singh's amazing tabla playing, soundscape artist Hilary Geddes on guitar and the ever-versatile Adem Yilmaz on percussion. Commissioned by ABC Jazz and recorded in our Sydney studios, the music on the debut release Daughter Of The Seas represents what's so unique about the jazz scene we have here in Australia, with so many unique voices adding their own distinctive contributions in this contemporary setting.
You can stream the album anywhere you get your music or buy the CD on Bandcamp.
