Product details
Sunflowers addresses free stroke arpeggio technique. Although the left hand is quite simple, I encourage students to use "anchor fingers" wherever possible.
Peasant Dance has a thumb stroke melody with a repeated note.It is an excellent exercise for crossing and developing thumb independence and separation. Free strokes should be used except in bar 19.
Seagull's Lament incorporates downward free stroke arpeggios with ring finger rest strokes against a free stroke thumb. It also introduces natural harmonics.
Spring Song is played with alternating i and m finger rest strokes against a free stroke thumb. The fourth finger of the left hand receives particilar attention.
The Moth has a thumb stroke melody played against block i,m and a finger chords. It includes upward and downward slurs and it is an excellent piece for practicing vibrato.
