|
Product details
The work draws not only on the ancient story but also on Brophy's familiarity and deep fascination with India, where he spends part of each year. It includes five narratives by Brophy. They describe an arc from pre-dawn to night, and from birth to death, on the streets of Calcutta. The talk alternates with singing of traditional texts, in Portuguese, English and Hindi.
