Sheet Music: ScoreMemories of a happy day : for solo piano / Miriam Hyde.by Miriam Hyde (1939)

Product details
Written 15.3.39 after we (Marcus Edwards and I) had spent a day
at Audley, in the National Park, N.S.W., - calm, cloudy, with a
slight autumnal feeling; - quiet, and by a shallow reach of the
Hacking River, on which there was a little boating in progress.
The 2nd theme (over the pedal point, D) suggests at first the
ripple of oars. Though written while we were still engaged, I
have since come to regard the more sonorous part of the climax as
reminiscent of another "happy day" - our wedding day, hence the
indication "bell-like".
It was chiefly the last nine bars which brought to my mind the
last lines of Keats' sonnet, quoted above the music
