Sheet Music: Score
Promenade : for piano trio / David Stanhope.
by David Stanhope (2001)
Very tuneful piece - as if wandering through a park at an easy pace, occasionally stopping to look at flowers, a statue or other points of interest. A more serious trio section in the middle, somewhat reminiscent of Grieg. Could be an encore at the end of a recital.
Published by: Australian Music Centre — 1 facsimile score (4p. -- B4 (portrait))
Difficulty: Advanced — Some double stops for strings
Duration: 4 min.
The composer notes:
Versions of this piece for Concert Band and orchestra are included in the "Petite Suite Française". The style of "Promenade" is reminiscent of late French romanticism, especially Poulenc.
