Work Overview
6 Memos was inspired by a collection of lectures that Italo Calvino was invited to deliver at Harvard University as part of the Charles Eliot Norton Lectures. Calvino devotes one lecture - or memo - to each of the following indispensable qualities for literature in the coming millennium (2000's): lightness, quickness, exactitude, visibility, multiplicity and consistency.
