Autumn Fires is a musical setting of the poem by Robert Louis Stevenson. It was composed as a companion piece to 'Where Go the Boats?' for treble choir. Canon and imitation are utilised to musically gesture the smoke swirling into the air as it rises from English garden bonfires.
