Instrumentation: Flexible (score for voice and accompaniment).

Difficulty: Advanced — Lyric is in an Irish dialect. Also requires the accompanist to read chord symbols

Commission note: This piece was commissioned by Mara Music as part of the Mara Big Band project. This commission was funded by Create NSW as part of the NSW state government’s arts program.

The score is and parts are for piano and voice, however these are essentially concert pitch lead sheets. In performance the piano part can be palyed by any harmonic instrument that is able to provided sustained accompaniment. The debut perrformance of this piece features voice (Mara Kiek) with guitar (Llew Kiek) and accordion (Gary Daley).
