Work Overview

A simple goove-based piece with a pentatonic melody. The A section should have a forward feeling with a slightly more laid back/relaxed B section. Improvised solos can be over a vamp of the complete form.

Instrumentation: Soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, descant recorder, double bass, drums.

Duration: 6 min.

Difficulty: Easy — The composition is simple, however the piece was composed as a platform for extended improvisations

There are folk influences in both the composition and the use of the descant recorder to state the opening melody. Influenced by Miroslav Bukovsky's group 'Wanderlust' and Lloyd Swanton 'catholics'.
