Work Overview
In Gadari (Rain) Song, for youth or children's choir, I have collaborated with Jenna Richards to compose a short piece in Barngarla Aboriginal Language. The work manifests the tensions between the ancient and the new. It creates a collaborative approach of meeting of cultures and backgrounds and build community connection and cohesion.
Barngarla is a dormant Australian Aboriginal language that was spoken in Port Lincoln, Whyalla and Port Augusta area of Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, Australia.
