Work Overview
Mt Egerton is the second composition of 'Music at Mt Egerton' - a cultural development project informed by research and collaboration at and around the site of the former kaolin mine in Steetley Lane. The project involved children from the Mt Egerton Primary School and the Mt Egerton dance club, local artists and former employees of the clay mine, working with Aphids artists, including two young professional musicians undertaking mentorships with the company.
This piece is divided into four movements, and is performed off an animated score.
