Work Overview

This work was one of Abbott's first compositions, written for her boyfriend (now husband) when she was studying overseas. The text is by her college room-mate, Jerusha Tiner. It is, in essence a pop-song written over two oscillating chords accompanied by guitar. The 3-part vocal lines have lush harmonies and are mostly homophoic in setting with optional solos.
