Work Overview
Primavera Waltz is an Argentinian-style waltz arranged for violin with piano, cello with piano or solo piano. It is the seventh movement of the La Vida Apasionada suite of 8 movements that was originally composed for a string and percussion ensemble. This playful waltz should be performed expressively with some freedom in the tempo. The majority of the work is in the key of G minor, but in the last 8 bars it transitions to D minor where a sparkling diminished 7th arpeggio flourish leads to the final D minor chord.
