Work Overview
A fairly easy unaccompanied SATB setting of the text attributed to St. Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153). Each verse sung by the choir alternates with a verse which may be sung in unison or as solos. An English translation (not meant for singing) is also provided. The style evokes a neo-medieval atmosphere similar to (say) the "Coventry Carol".
