6 Abbreviations : for solo bassoon / John Arthur Grant.
Library shelf no. 788.58/GRA 1 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
My first set of Bassoon Abbreviations aims to give advanced players some exercises to extend their experience beyond traditional repertoire. Different forms of rhythmic dexterity are called for, a large range, exciting and demanding fast passages, and some slower-moving, lyrical pieces. At the same time, I wanted to incorporate contemporary pop culture influences, as a means of inspiring performers to explore new styles. It's also a bit of fun!
