This set of three pieces calls for a strong rhythmic and percussive approach (particularly the first and third). Vital tight ensemble work is imperative to realise the dance nature & character. The second piece is more reflective and hypnotic. All three movements draw on the use of standard extended techniques and include asymmetric meters.
Instrumentation: 3 guitars.
Duration: 15 min.
Difficulty: Advanced — Advanced students or professional ensemble. Rhythmic demands.
Contents note: I. Half moon of gold (4 min.) -- II. Stellar motion (7 min. 15 sec.), -- III. Saturnalia (3 min. 45 sec.).
