Work Overview
Advance Australia Fair, was composed by Scotsman P.D. McCormick and first perforemd at a concert for the Highland Society of New South Wales in Sydney on St Andrew's Day 1878. It was not until 1984 that the song gained its official status as Australia's national anthem.
